Is There Really No Shortcut To Happiness?

We all have come to believe that that are no shortcut to happiness, because of that believe, many people are happy to settle for a short time happiness, cause that’s what we believe we can get if we try to look for an easy way out.

But, there can be a way to get a full-time happiness, want to know? Hehehehe, through Love! Now it can sound cliché, but trust me Love conquers all, through Love you can get all you want. You can take the easy way or the hard way, but with Love you can get what you want the easy way.

I have a friend who doesn’t believe in love, infact she’s going to be happy that I’m using her story as an example, hehehe. Because the story is beyond cliché. Let me call her Sonia, for privacy.

Sonia doesn’t believe in love at all, she’d rather  be with a guy just because he’s ready to tolerate her, don’t get me wrong, she’s very pretty and brilliant, but she lacked self-esteem. She used to laugh at us because we were waiting for true love. There was a time she was with one guy that is a total player, this guy has all the qualities of a gigolo, meaning, he is attractive and very conscious of the way he looks, he always wants to look perfect, he doesn’t care about Sonia, rather on his look. Everyone who’s got eyes  could see that this guy was not right for her, but she wouldn’t listen, she believes she can tolerate him as long as he can tolerate, cause she’s a handful, hehehehe. Still is!

Sonia continued dating this self-absolving guy that does not hesitate to publicly humiliate when he had the chance. Not until she met his friend, let’s call him Richard, at a gathering, I can’t really say how they met, but she was so attracted to this friend of her boyfriend, that she did all she could to be around him. Whenever he was around her, her usual chatty and uppity self calms down immediately, she automatically becomes a quiet and conscious person, hehehehe.

When she couldn’t handle it, she came to me to ask of my  opinion, I quickly relayed her message to a   few of my senior friends and told her what they think about it, because I know she wouldn’t really take what I say kindly, because I would be brutal. I’m that harsh when it comes to her, hehehehe. She was advised to come clean to her boyfriend and breakup with him, if she wants to pursue this guy, because we all can see  that she’s silently falling in love with Richard. Although she didn’t know it then, she thought it was just an attraction, well to cut the long beautiful story shorter, lol, she was the one that initiated the relationship with the guy who was also silently coming around just to see her face, it didn’t take long for the fire between them to be set ablaze. lolzz. Today the both of them are happily married with three adorable kids!!

Shortcut to happiness can only be possible through the Love route. Now if you seek happiness that has nothing to do with a relationship, but other matters that life throws, then you need to appreciate and respect the people around you, respect the people above you even If they are your junior, and have a clean cause of motivation, Love your neighbors as you would yourself, if your neighbor is hard to love, just avoid them, so as not to stain yourself.

It’s the season of Love, open your heart to love, open your heart to new possibilities. Love is in the air!
