What is wisdom? This is a question that we have many answers
to, no specific answer, but one idea. I want to know, if a child asks you as an
elder person, ”what is wisdom sir/ma?”, what would be your response? Ponder
over that while I continue with my post, hehehehe.
Sometime ago, I asked the question, what is wisdom, in lots
of social media that I’m familiar with, and got many answers that are
different, but has one meaning. I got the idea of what they were trying to say.
but that wasn’t enough, I decided to make a post on our famous Facebook, I made
a point of bringing one phrase that really caught my attention and was on its
own, the phrase was, “Wisdom comes when we are moving forward, not resting on
your laurels, to obtain wisdom, you must be teachable, discerning, relational
and responsive.” Now that phrase from
one of the good people that bothered to answer my post, got me thinking, its
different from the usual Wisdom comes from experience idea that everyone that
posted had. So after making the post of the phrase on Facebook with a question
of how true this was, a friend made a comment that has its own meaning, he
said, “Every single day provides an opportunity for
us to learn, to grow and to move on. Every single person we encounter, every
single situation we face serves as a teacher for us to learn, grow and move on.
All we have to do is to be receptive enough to learn from life's immeasurable
teachers. That is wisdom.” Although after going through it, his comment
is also talking about experience, I believe that is more like the general
understanding of Wisdom.
After piling up all the answers I’ve gathered from my
question, I’ve come to a conclusion, and I’m going to share it with all of you,
so our young kids will have something to ponder on when they face such a
question and as they grow.
My conclusion is that, Wisdom is within. How, You ask? I’ll
explain, I’ve got all day, hehehehe. Now Wisdom is like a plant that needs to
be watered for it to grow into a blossoming light that guides us through life’s’
adventures. Wisdom is within each and everyone of us, it just need a little
receptive mind and open heart to water it. Because until it is grown, we cannot
get or understand its full potential. Oh my! I sound like my papa in the Lord! Hehehehehe!
Lolzz!
Experience is the water that is needed to fuel your inner
wisdom up. Until you believe that wisdom is in you, your experiences might just
be a waste. You have to believe it’s in you as you go out gathering experiences
with a receptive and teachable mind.
Wisdom is power, and Wisdom is experience, when you have it,
you can do the unthinkable, you can also know how to control in a chaotic
place, you can take charge, when others around you don’t know what to do, because you’ve got Wisdom and
experience to back up your ideas.
Got to go now, feel free to prove me wrong, hehehehe.
